Community

Before the game, after the game, all week

Salem Panthers FC is not only interested in what happens during ninety minutes on the field. The club exists because of the community around it.

Soccer connects refugees, immigrants, long-time Salem residents, businesses, families, young people and supporters. Putting those groups on the same field — or the same sideline — is the point of this club, not a side effect of it.

What we do

The work around the ninety minutes

01
Community events

Open sessions and club events that bring supporters, families and players into the same place off the pitch.
02
Youth activities

Sessions for younger players in Salem — the first step toward the youth pathway we are building.
03
Refugee and immigrant outreach

Connecting newly arrived families to a team, a routine and a group of people who understand the move they just made.
04
Player volunteer work

Our squad gives time back to the city that hosts them — because the shirt is borrowed from the community.
05
School visits

Players and staff in Salem schools, talking about the game and about arriving somewhere new.
06
Soccer camps

Coaching for kids across the city, run by people who know what a first team can mean to a young player.
07
Community partnerships

Working alongside local organizations already doing the work, rather than starting in parallel.
08
Family and supporter stories

The people on the sideline are part of this club. We want their stories on this site too.
